Chad will take a 1-0 advantage into the second leg of their 2018 World Cup qualifying playoff against Sierra Leone thanks to Léger Djimrangar’s second-half strike in N’Djamena.
Sierra Leone remain favorites to advance, but will need to cancel out the 23 year-old Djimrangar’s goal in the return leg.
That contest is slated for Tuesday in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

The winner will take on Egypt in another home-and-away playoff in November.
The winner of that tie will advance to the group stage, with only only the group winners advancing to the finals in Russia.
